The Supreme Council of Popular describes the reversal of legitimacy decisions as a result of the acquiescence agreement
The Supreme Council of Popular Resistance describes the reversal of legitimacy decisions as a result of the acquiescence agreement and calls for a national and popular stance to oppose the agreement.
((Text of the statement))
With great dissatisfaction, the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance received the statement of the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and his envoy to Yemen, Mr. Hans Grundberg, in which he practically declared the invalidation of the sovereign decisions issued by the legitimate authority of the Republic of Yemen, represented by the Central Bank of Yemen, which the Yemeni people viewed with great respect as the first A real measure that expresses the legal and sovereign status of the Yemeni state.
Never before have the Yemeni people been rejoiced and felt as hopeful as they were when they saw the legitimate authority exercising its sovereignty over the economic and monetary decision, and restoring respect to its position, role and influence, after ten years of absurd concessions that increased the coup group; They were arrogant, empowering, and underestimated the will of the people, plundering their capabilities, and tampering with their present and future.
The historic decisions of the Central Bank of Yemen that were annulled revealed the catastrophe of the systematic empowerment of the de facto authority in Sana’a, by invoking humanitarian reasons, while those concerned with bringing peace remained far from the decisive steps for a solution, with the political, military, security, economic and monetary entitlements that that solution imposes on them. All parties, including the coup group, are on the path to restoring the country's unity and independence.
The danger of the acquiescence agreement announced by the UN envoy lies in treating the decisions of the legitimate, sovereign authority as an escalation, and that the agreement referred to in the statement aims to reduce the escalation. In fact, it was nothing but an implementation of the demands and dictates of the coup plotters, and did not care about the suffering that the Yemeni people are enduring. Because of the monetary division imposed by the coup plotters on the people, this agreement also did not care about continuing to stop oil exports, which caused huge economic losses to the Yemeni people.
The continuation of absurd concessions, such as retracting the decisions of the Central Bank of Yemen, gives a dangerous indication of the extent of the disdain for the Yemeni people and their will, and perpetuates the current state of division and legitimizes the de facto authority that kidnaps the largest population bloc in the country, steals its financial and economic capabilities, thrusts it into a stifling crisis, and places Yemen in an alarming political impasse. A conflict whose disastrous consequences for Yemen and the region cannot be predicted.
While the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance sees these concessions as a bad result of absolute external hegemony over national decision-making, it also notes what can be considered a clear acquiescence by the regional system itself to the claims of the coup group, and its threats that are disproportionate in terms of strength with the military weight of the coalition to support legitimacy, which has all the opportunities. To build a unified, solid and decisive position to defeat the coup project and its dangerous strategic consequences for Yemen, the region and the world.
While the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance praises the solid national position of the Governor of the Central Bank, and his decisive role in issuing successful decisions for the bank, and magnifies in him the spirit of responsibility and sincere bias towards the Yemeni people that prompted him to submit his resignation in a manner commensurate with this free and honorable national position, the Supreme Council believes that the current historical moment It represents a decisive test for the conscience of every free and honorable official in the legitimate authority, and for his position on what has happened and is happening. This moment also represents an incentive for everyone to contribute to breaking this closed circle in which the Yemeni leadership and people have been placed, leading to the complete restoration of national decision-making.
Accordingly, the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance, in embodiment of its national responsibility towards the Yemeni people, calls for the following:
1- Rejecting the agreement of submission and concessions and calling on the legitimate authority to continue implementing its decisions and trusting the ability of the Yemeni people to face the potential repercussions of these decisions.
2- Adopting a comprehensive resistance approach to plans to destroy the Yemeni state, which invalidates its legal and constitutional status every day, based on the strategic ammunition for steadfastness and victory represented by the National Army and the Popular Resistance.
3- Calling on the political and social forces to adopt a solid methodology, based on true unity in position, which ensures efficient handling of the facing challenges, and allows the formation of a barrier against the plan to empower the coup plotters, and thwart the plan to transform Yemen into a platform in wars of regional hegemony.
4- We call on the Yemeni people to line up behind their national constants and rally around the option of popular resistance as it is the purely national option based on the popular will and the free and independent Yemeni decision.
Long live the Republic of Yemen
Glory and eternity to the martyrs and healing to the wounded
