The political of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance emphasizes the importance of the Central Bank’s actions in strengthening the sovereign powers of legitimacy

 Today, the political body of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance held its regular meeting, headed by the head of the body, Member of the parliament , A.  Abdul Karim Al-Aslami, during which it addressed a number of issues related to its political activity and developments on the national scene, at the forefront of which were the financial measures recently announced by the Central Bank of Yemen and aimed at strengthening the sovereign position of the legitimate authority.

 The political body affirmed the position of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance in support of efforts to strengthen the sovereign position of legitimate authority, which falls within the framework of the late treatment of the disastrous effects resulting from dangerous concessions in favor of the Houthi coup militia due to external agendas biased towards the coup plotters.

 The Commission stressed the importance of the monetary measures of the Central Bank of Yemen contributing to stripping the coup militia of the privileges of managing an independent monetary authority free of obligations towards the Yemeni people, including credits related to imports, ending the state of monetary division that is costly to the Yemeni people, and ending the coup militia’s control of the banking sector.  With the need to work in parallel in order to mitigate the short-term consequences for the Yemeni people.

 Pointing out that the human dimension in the policies of appeasement of the Houthi militia contributed to the militia’s seizure of the essence of the sovereign powers of the legitimate authority and control of the most important land, air and sea ports, through which the country’s imports and passenger traffic pass, and the maximization of financial returns that strengthened the group’s ability to establish de facto authority and prolong  Extending the war and degrading commitments to peace in Yemen.

 At the meeting, the Political Commission praised the distinguished participation of the head of the Commission’s Foreign Relations Department, Dr. Ali Al-Dhahab, in the discussion seminar held on the twenty-fifth of last May, in the Egyptian capital, under the title “The Silk Road and International Trade across the Red Sea: Challenges and Approaches,” organized by the Mokha Center.  For Strategic Studies, the Dialogue Center for Political and Media Studies, the Egyptian Forum for Media, and the Egyptian Maritime Salon.
