The Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance has provided five buses to the Hope Association and School for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Mentally Disabled in Taiz, with the aim of facilitating the transportation of students with special needs and improving the services provided to them.

The project, which was implemented by the Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mukhlafi Foundation, was launched in the presence of the First Deputy Governor of Taiz, Dr. Abdulqawi Al-Mukhlafi, the Director of the Education Office in the governorate, Abdulwas'a Shidad, the Director of Social Affairs, Abdo Ali, and the Director General of the Cairo Directorate, Samir Abdel-Ilah, as well as a number of leaders of the local authority and military, and a number of leaders of the popular resistance.

During the launch, Deputy Governor Al-Mukhlafi described this project as "an important, successful, and fruitful step." He explained, "We visited this school two months ago, and we extended invitations to many charitable institutions and civil society organizations to stand with the mentally disabled segment, and the first response and initiative was from the Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mukhlafi Foundation under the auspices of the Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance."

The First Deputy Governor expressed his thanks to the Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance and the Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mukhlafi Foundation, calling on all charitable institutions and businessmen to contribute to supporting the mentally disabled segment, and first and foremost to build an educational complex for this category.

For his part, the general coordinator of the Humanitarian Department of the Council, Mr. Majdi Al-Qabati, said that the project to provide buses for the Hope Association and School comes within the framework of the continuous support provided by the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance and the care that the Humanitarian Department of the Council gives to the most vulnerable groups, and will contribute to facilitating access for people with intellectual disabilities to the school and continuing their educational project."

Meanwhile, the executive director of the Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mukhlafi Foundation, Abdulrahman Hassan, said, "Today we launched a project to provide buses for people with intellectual disabilities at the Hope Association and School." He added that "this is an initiative of the Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mukhlafi Foundation, under the auspices of the Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance, as part of humanitarian efforts to support needy groups, as this project will contribute to helping people with intellectual disabilities continue their education and integration into society."

For her part, Professor Ibtisam Abdulwas'a, director of the Hope School for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Mentally Disabled, expressed her sincere thanks and gratitude to the Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance and the Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mukhlafi Foundation for their support for students with intellectual disabilities with five buses that will be dedicated to transporting them from their homes to school and back.

This support comes within the framework of the efforts of the Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance and the Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mukhlafi Foundation to enhance humanitarian care and social solidarity, which contributes to alleviating the suffering of this group and enabling them to obtain the necessary education and care.
