The Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of Yemeni Popular Resistance honored 350 wounded from the National Army and the Resistance “from the third, fourth, fifth, and seventh military regions, Taiz, Ma’rib, Al-Jawf, and the Giants forces,” who are receiving treatment in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.
In the speech of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance, delivered by Dr. Ali Al-Dhahab, a member of the political body of the Council, he conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the Supreme Council, Sheikh Hammoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi, and stressed that the Council gives the wounded the greatest of its humanitarian concerns and efforts, and this is only one of its humanitarian initiatives towards the wounded at home and abroad.
The event coordinator, humanitarian activist A. Al-Dhabhani praised the sacrifices of the wounded towards the homeland and the solid will and unwavering determination they bear, stressing that the heroism of the wounded is a source of pride and honor.
In a speech to the wounded, they expressed their thanks and gratitude for the Supreme Council’s honor, calling on the competent authorities to provide more care and attention to the wounded and the families of the martyrs.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the head of the political body of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance, member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Aslami, his deputy, Sheikh Abdul Wahed Nimran, member of the body, Dr. Ali Al-Dhahab, and senior guests honored the wounded with sums of money and certificates of appreciation.
The ceremony was attended by a number of civilian and military leaders and social figures, led by former member of the House of Representatives Abdul Wali Al Amiri, Major General Issam Dawid, leader of the General People’s Congress Party, Sheikh Ali Muhammad Tareq, Sheikh Hussein Abdullah Al Haddad, Brigadier General Naji Munif, Commander of the Military Police in Ma’rib, Sheikh Abdul Khaleq Al-Jandbi, Deputy Governor of Sana’a Governorate, and A. Muhammad Al-Asal, representative of Raymah Governorate, and Sheikh Arif Nahid, representative of Al-Jawf Governorate.
