The Political Body of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance commended the distinguished revolutionary activities of the Popular Resistance and the National Army in the governorates of Taiz and Ma'rib, which come within the framework of mobilizing resistance efforts to restore the state.

This came during an expanded meeting chaired by the Council's President, Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi, and attended by the Council's President, Member of Parliament Abdul Karim Al-Aslami, members of the Leadership Body, and its officials in the governorates. The meeting was held to review the ongoing developments in Yemen.

The meeting began with a speech by the President of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance, who praised the efforts of the Political Body and urged everyone to work continuously to strengthen the Council's political vision related to defeating the coup, adhering to the principles and priorities of the Yemeni state, strengthening national unity, and confronting projects that threaten the unity of the Yemeni state, the political identity of its pluralistic republican system, and the integrity of its national territory.

The Council President recalled the honorable battle waged by the Palestinian people in the face of the brutal Zionist aggression.  For his part, the head of the Political Body expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the members of the Political Body in their various positions and locations. He highly valued the Council's leadership's tireless support and follow-up of the Body's efforts. He called for redoubled efforts to keep abreast of political developments related to Yemen and the region, helping to build positions that strengthen Yemeni unity and deepen awareness of the challenges posed by hostile interventions fueled by the behavior of the coup group, which deliberately sacrifices the resources of the Yemeni people to advance its unacceptable coup project.

The expanded meeting of the Political Body resulted in outcomes that covered the Body's areas of interest at the political and strategic levels, as well as the livelihood repercussions resulting from the difficult economic situation the country is experiencing.

He emphasized in this regard the importance of building fruitful and constructive relationships with all Yemeni components, and of continuing to work to dismantle the distorted perceptions being promoted abroad about the nature of events in Yemen, and to stand firmly against the frantic efforts of some parties to transform Yemen into an arena for international proxy conflict.

The meeting saluted the blessed revolutionary rallies of the resistance fighters and the National Army in several districts of Taiz Governorate, which coincided with similar rallies and gatherings in Ma'rib Governorate. The meeting affirmed the unity of position and the crucial cohesion between the National Army and the Resistance, as part of the blessed efforts to mobilize the national will and continue efforts to liberate the homeland and restore the state as the only alternative option to ensure sustainable stability and resume the reconstruction and renaissance of Yemen.

The meeting also expressed its surprise at the lack of an effective strategic plan to address ongoing developments on the Yemeni and regional fronts, capitalize on available opportunities, and initiate broad-based action to restore the role of the Yemeni state, mobilize national efforts, and build regional partnerships to re-establish stability and peace by all available means.  The meeting called for an end to the chronic paralysis that has dominated the performance of the legitimate leadership, reflecting an unacceptable failure and division whose repercussions and consequences the nation can no longer bear, particularly in the economic and livelihood aspects. This is compounded by the continued unjustified disruption of sovereign resources at a time when the public treasury is suffering from a severe and catastrophic deficit and a collapse of the national currency, largely due to the halt in oil and gas exports, the primary sources of foreign currency.

The meeting condemned the silence of the official Arab regimes regarding the war crimes that the Zionist entity continues to commit against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and the attacks on Syrian sovereignty by the same enemy. The meeting called on the nation to continue its struggle and support the Palestinian people and to champion the great sacrifices they are making to liberate the land and holy sites.
