Taiz: Exclusive
The Popular Resistance Council in Taiz Governorate affirmed that the sacrifices made by fighters Abdul Nasser Al-Araz and Youssef Al-Maqtari, who were martyred in honorable battles on the Kalaba front east of the city, represent a message of steadfastness and dignity that transcends disability and wounds, and confirms the steadfastness of the people of Taiz in confronting the Houthi coup militia.
The Council explained that the two martyrs fought honorable battles despite their disabilities resulting from previous injuries on the front. Al-Araz suffered from a visual impairment, while Al-Maqtari suffered from a motor disability. However, this did not deter them from carrying weapons and defending the Republic until the last moments of their lives.
The Council's statement added that the two fighters did not surrender, but continued their struggle, fighting, and fighting until their last breath, confirming through their steadfastness that Taiz is invincible and unwavering. It is a city that knows its enemy and protects its dignity, and that neither rivalry nor betrayal will deter it from continuing on its path toward freedom and liberation.
The Council noted that their martyrdom embodies the unbreakable spirit of Taiz, a city of steadfastness that has known its enemy and maintained its national compass despite ten years of war and siege. It emphasized that disability was never an excuse for national duty, but rather an additional fuel for determination and faith in the cause.
The Council offered its sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the families of the two martyrs, their relatives, and their comrades on the front lines, asking God Almighty to bestow His mercy upon them and grant them a place in His spacious gardens. It also prayed to grant their families patience and solace, emphasizing that their pure blood is a badge of honor on the chest of Taiz and all the free people of the nation.
He pointed out that these heroes are an example of the heroes of the 170th Air Defense Brigade and members of the Kalaba front, whom no one has ever heard of. They persevered and fought despite their wounds, proving that there is no such thing as helplessness in the dictionary of resistance fighters. Only determination dictates the course of the battle.
The Resistance Council concluded its statement by renewing its pledge to the blood of the martyrs, emphasizing that their sacrifices are the surest guarantee for the liberation of Taiz and the restoration of the homeland. Their precious blood will not be in vain, but will remain a beacon illuminating the path to liberation until complete victory is achieved.
