Abyan | Lawdar – Special

The Popular Resistance Council in Abyan Governorate held an expanded meeting in Lawdar District, with broad participation from security and military leaders, tribal, social, media, and youth figures, reflecting national cohesion in the face of current challenges.

The meeting was opened by Mr. Hassan Mohammed Fadl, Head of the Media Department of the Abyan Resistance Council, who welcomed the attendees, emphasizing that popular resistance is not merely a matter of bearing arms. Rather, it is an ideological and moral issue connected to the nation's identity, requiring everyone to unite to confront the enemy intellectually and morally before confronting the enemy on the ground.

The Deputy Governor of Abyan, Mr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Hamza, welcomed everyone from the stronghold of heroism, Lawdar District, which has been and continues to make great sacrifices on the Tharra and Al-Halhal fronts, as well as other national fronts, writing epics of pride and dignity in the battle to restore the state after the Houthi militia coup in 2014.  He emphasized that the conflict with the Houthi militias is a deep-rooted ideological dispute with a priestly project that has no place among the people of Yemen. He considered this meeting a clear message to anyone considering harming Abyan and its patriotism, calling on everyone to stand united to cleanse Yemen of this sick, dynastic project.

Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Jild, head of the Popular Resistance Council in Abyan Governorate, also emphasized the importance and transparency of this meeting, outlining the council's goals, principles, and future vision. He emphasized its legitimacy and its emergence from the crisis, calling on everyone to rally around it in defense of their faith and their true Islamic faith.

Professor Jihad Abdullah Hafeez, Director of the Lawdar Media Office, spoke, thanking everyone who contributed to the success of this meeting, which holds great hope for combating the Houthi militias. He emphasized the support of the National Army in cleansing all parts of Yemen of this threat.

The meeting witnessed several interventions from attendees, most notably Brigadier General Abdullah Omar Masoud, who called for repeating such meetings to enhance a true understanding of the concept of resistance and to clearly establish the principles so that every honorable Yemeni can defend his homeland and his land.

At the conclusion of the meeting, recommendations were issued emphasizing the need to continue and intensify coordination between the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance, all political factions, local forces, and coalition countries, to achieve complete liberation and eradicate this threat that has plagued the country for more than a decade.
