The policy of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance praises the Council's tireless role in directing the path of the national struggle towards achieving the highest goals of the people

 The political body of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance held its regular meeting, headed by the head of the body, member of the House of Representatives, Sheikh Abdul Karim Al-Aslami, during which it reviewed the main items on the agenda and the activity of the leadership of the Supreme Council and members of the body during the previous period, and took stock of the political developments at the national level.

 The Commission noted the excellent results of the meeting held by the President of the Council, Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi, with His Excellency the Ambassador of the French Republic to Yemen, Catherine Corm Kammoun, and stressed the importance of continuing meetings with political and diplomatic activities at the local, regional and international levels in order to serve the path of the national struggle that our people are undertaking at this stage.  .

 In addition, the Commission noted the tireless work of the Council witnessed in the year that passed since the reorganization of the Popular Resistance within the framework of the Supreme Council amid challenges that obstruct the national efforts made to redirect the course of the national struggle towards its main goals, at the forefront of which is ending the coup, restoring the state, and standing seriously in the face of the activity obstructing this process.  Due to the destructive role of sub-national projects, especially the destruction of the national structure by the Houthi militia by imposing a sectarian agenda that is rejected and reprehensible.

 In this context, she stressed the essential role of the national forces, at the forefront of which is the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance, in combating the coup and confronting the systematic targeting of national unity and the legal status of the Yemeni state and its republican political identity, and pledged that this role would remain present at the heart of the national battle and a faithful guardian of the republican principles and the great achievements of the Yemeni people.

 The Commission adopted its part of the plan to commemorate the founding of the Supreme Council, including a series of specific political activities and enhancing levels of political communication with all activities that have an influence on the Yemeni issue at the regional and international levels, in addition to continuing to build fruitful national partnerships at this level.

 On the political level, the political body of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance noted the efforts made by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, in order to restart the wheel of negotiations in the humanitarian and economic files, and expressed interest in the mediators’ keenness to push the negotiations towards opening a political horizon.

 In this regard, she called for the necessity of focusing the efforts of the mediators and the negotiating parties on pushing towards ending the causes of the conflict, which requires a clear willingness to make concessions, and not building on the results produced by the years of war and the clear targeting of the capabilities of legitimacy and its constitutional status, and the disruption of the mechanisms and references related to ending the conflict.  The war, foremost among which is the Gulf Initiative Agreement and its executive mechanism, international legitimacy resolutions, and the outcomes of the national dialogue.
