The President of the Supreme Council discusses with the South Korean Ambassador the Council's vision regarding the future of Yemen in light of the Houthi intransigence

The President of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance, Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi, discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea, Do Bong-Kai, the Council's vision regarding the future of Yemen in light of the intransigence shown by the Houthi group, which has led to the stagnation of the state of neither peace nor war in a way that confirms the need for a resolution to reach a permanent and sustainable peace in Yemen.


This came during a visual meeting, during which the national political and humanitarian role of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance in its contributions was discussed.


The President of the Council presented a briefing on the humanitarian role of the Council in the medical and relief field, reviewing examples of the most important achievements of the Council in this regard, especially in the Arab Center for Artificial Limbs and the Professional Institute, in addition to the care it provides to about a thousand completely or partially paralyzed people.


 The President of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance praised the support provided by the Republic of South Korea to Yemen in light of the war and the care it gives to the humanitarian and development sector in a way that reflects the good relations between the two countries.


For his part, the South Korean Ambassador stressed the strength of the relationship between his country and Yemen, which is scheduled to celebrate its fourth decade next year.


His Excellency Ambassador Do Bong-Kai expressed his country's condemnation of the destabilizing role played by the Houthis, stressing at the same time his country's keenness on the unity of Yemen and the integrity of its territories, its full support for the legitimate authority, and its efforts to establish peace in Yemen through its international role as a non-permanent member of the Security Council and its presidency of the Yemen-related sanctions team.


Ambassador Kai expressed great interest in the role played by the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance at all levels, appreciating the opportunity provided by this meeting with the leadership of the Council and the briefing on all the developments taking place on the Yemeni scene and the Council's connection to these developments.
