The political body of the Supreme Council of the Yemeni Popular Resistance stressed the importance of drawing inspiration from the Syrian model in achieving national goals and objectives and reducing the high costs that Yemen pays as a result of the continuation of the situation as it is.
This came in its periodic meeting held today, headed by the head of the body, MP Abdul Karim Al-Aslami, during which it discussed the results of the foreign tour of its delegation, which toured a number of Arab and regional capitals targeting components and national figures in the Yemeni diaspora, in addition to issues related to the rapid regional developments, especially what happened in Syria in light of the honorable battle waged by the Syrian revolutionary forces that culminated in the liberation of the capital, Damascus, and the overthrow of the regime of the criminal tyrant Bashar Al-Assad.
The Authority stressed that seizing the historic moment should be our top national priority, noting that attention is directed towards the resistance forces and government forces, and towards the legitimate authority and its supporters to a greater extent, given that they are responsible for neutralizing the sovereign capabilities of the Yemeni people, which must be unleashed in this great historic opportunity to achieve the goals of the people and enable them to reach the stage of peace, stability and a strong national state.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Authority praised the successes achieved by the mission of communicating with national events and the efforts made by the delegation of the Political Authority and its keenness to meet with the widest segment of Yemeni leaders, praising the interaction shown by these leaders with the proposed proposals regarding returning the initiative to the popular resistance.
The report submitted on these contacts pointed to the great discontent prevailing among Yemeni circles in the diaspora due to the stagnation witnessed in the Yemeni arena as a result of the disruption of the national decision, and the inability of the international community to complete the task of facilitating a political process that leads the Yemenis to the goals they believe in and which are specified in the resolutions of international legitimacy, and confirmed by regional and international consensus, most notably ending the coup, restoring the state, and returning matters to the path of democratic transformation. The delegation of the political body had held in-depth discussions with the Yemeni components and figures, on bringing the resistance option back to the forefront, as it represents the shortest path to achieving national goals, in contrast to efforts focused on the peace option without real and just levers to achieve this peace, more than that it is more and more consecrating the current absurd scene, and achieving part of the coup plotters' goals in maintaining their political and military gains against the will of the Yemeni people.
