Yemeni youth praised the role of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance in launching initiatives and providing opportunities to embrace revolutionary political action. They emphasized that youth are the vanguard of popular resistance, the pillar of the liberation battle and national awareness, and the foundation for restoring the state.

During a symposium focused on "The Role of Youth in Supporting the Resistance and the Liberation Battle," they proposed a series of mechanisms and initiative projects aimed at maximizing their role in the battle to restore the influence of the Yemeni state and confront all the challenges it faces. This includes focusing on building a narrative consistent with the strength of the Yemeni cause, and devoting the most significant part of the awareness battle to confronting the systematic sectarianism aimed at reshaping awareness and eroding national consciousness practiced against youth in areas controlled by the coup plotters.

At the symposium, Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi, head of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance, addressed the youth, praising their remarkable mobilization around the urgent priorities of Yemen at this stage of its history.  He said, "For the youth, as for every Yemeni, resistance is not a choice but a responsibility. Protecting freedom can only be achieved through the will of the youth, and preserving the republic can only be achieved through the struggle of loyal youth."

Sheikh Al-Mikhlafi expressed his great confidence in the youth's ability to change the current reality, saying that hopes are pinned on the youth, who must work sincerely, each from their own position, to achieve the goals of restoring the state and preserving the constants of the Yemeni state.

The symposium included a group of university graduates and master's and doctoral students from several foreign universities, with the participation of a number of young people from within Yemen. They engaged in a fruitful discussion, reinforced by working papers presented by political affairs researcher Nabil Al-Bakri, director of the Ba'ad Media Center Abdul Rahman Al-Maliki, and Majid Al-Shamiri, coordinator of the Youth Department in the Supreme Council of Resistance.

In his paper on the importance of media, Al-Bakri reviewed the tasks facing youth in mobilizing public opinion by utilizing all means available through new communication channels, seriously engaging in this important context of resistance work, arming themselves with national values, and absorbing the vocabulary of Yemeni identity in order to formulate effective and influential messages that influence public awareness.

Al-Maliki's paper addressed the means to enhance the role of youth and empower them to perform political and executive roles to ensure the flow of blood into the nation's arteries and serve the honorable national battle against the coup plotters.

Another paper focused on the necessity of formulating a clear narrative for the Yemeni cause in order to wage an effective and influential awareness campaign capable of dispelling the narratives espoused by the coup plotters and other political projects hostile to the Yemeni state, particularly in the external arena.

The coordinator of the Youth Department in the Council, speaking from Taiz, conveyed a positive image of the remarkable roles played by youth in the multifaceted arenas of national struggle, including the arena of field action and the arena of awareness.

Speaking from Marib, female leader Balqis Ahmed spoke about the reality of the people's confrontation with the coup plotters, drawing on their honorable history of resistance and defense of honor and dignity. She called on young people to benefit from the inspiring experiences our region has witnessed recently, which have led to significant changes in the future of the region.

Dr. Ali Al-Dahab, a member of the Political Bureau and head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance, concluded the symposium with a speech in which he explained the importance of the Supreme Council's exceptional political activities in light of what he described as the stagnation that dominates public life in the country. He expressed his deep admiration for the sound arguments expressed by the youth at the symposium and his confidence in their ability to support the revolutionary resistance and ensure the success of the battle to restore the state.
