"A man of heroic struggle"... The Popular Resistance Council in Taiz mourns the martyrdom of Captain Mohammed al-Rumaih

The Popular Resistance Council in Taiz Governorate received news of the martyrdom of Captain Mohammed al-Rumaih, deputy commander of the security campaign in al-Shamayatayn, while performing his national duty in confronting armed elements who sought to circumvent law and order and disturb the peace in the city of al-Turbah.


Martyr Mohammed al-Rumaih is considered one of the most prominent heroes of the early popular resistance in the governorate. He fought numerous battles in defense of Taiz, from al-Mukalkal to al-Krayfat, from Jabal Jarrah to Jabal Han, and on to al-Kadha, among other heroic fronts. He is known for his combat and security prowess, his high integrity, his lofty values, and his example of courage and commitment to national values.


 The Popular Resistance Council in Taiz affirms that the martyrdom of the hero Mohammed al-Rumaih is a great loss to the security services, the Popular Resistance, and Taiz as a whole. He had a heroic history of struggle and was one of the finest heroes who raised the banner of dignity on our front lines in various locations. Perhaps the circumstances of his martyrdom reflect his dedication and devotion to protecting the security of citizens and the stability of Taiz.


In this context, the Taiz Resistance Council commends the efforts of the security services in arresting a number of those accused in the martyrdom of Captain al-Rumaih. It calls for continued pursuit of the remaining perpetrators, as well as all murderers and wanted persons, and for them to be brought to justice in accordance with the law, to ensure that they do not escape punishment and to protect the safety of citizens.


The Popular Resistance Council offers its deepest condolences to the family, loved ones, and friends of the martyr al-Rumaih, to the members of the security services and the Popular Resistance, and to all the people of Taiz. We ask God to bestow His mercy upon him, to accept him among the martyrs, and to grant him a place in His spacious gardens.
